Terms of Service
The agreement in plain words
These terms govern your use of myworldnews24.com, published as MYWORLDNEWS24. By reading the site you accept them; there is no account to create and no box to tick, so the act of using the site is the act of agreeing. We have tried to write terms a person would actually read. Where the language below sounds legal, it is because the sentence has to do legal work, not because we enjoy the register.
The deal, compressed: we publish news for you to read freely; the words and original material are ours or our licensors’; the facts of the world belong to nobody; you may share and quote within normal limits; you may not scrape the site wholesale, republish our work as your own, or use the site to cause harm; and because news moves fast, we cannot warrant that every line is complete or final, which is why the Disclaimer exists and forms part of these terms.
Who we are
MYWORLDNEWS24 is operated by a small independent team of editors. We are a news publisher, not a broker, adviser, marketplace or platform for user content. The contact point for anything arising under these terms is support@myworldnews24.com.
Using the site
You may read, link to, and share our content in the ordinary ways: sending a link, quoting a reasonable excerpt with attribution and a link back, or sharing via social platforms using the tools provided. You do not need permission to link to any page on myworldnews24.com, including deep links to individual stories, and we will never ask a linker to stop merely for being critical of us.
You may not, without our written permission:
- Republish whole articles or substantial portions of them, on any site, app, newsletter or feed, whether or not you credit us;
- Systematically scrape, crawl or bulk-download the site’s content, including for training machine learning models, beyond what our robots directives explicitly allow;
- Frame the site or mirror it so it appears to be part of another service;
- Use the content commercially in a way that substitutes for visiting the site, such as reselling our articles or feeding them into a paid product;
- Interfere with the site’s operation, probe it for vulnerabilities without authorisation, or circumvent measures we use against abuse.
Licensing enquiries for legitimate republication are welcome at the address above and are usually answered quickly.
Intellectual property
The articles, headlines, editing, selection and arrangement on this site are protected by copyright and belong to the operator of MYWORLDNEWS24 or to licensors who have permitted our use. Third-party material that appears in our coverage, such as agency photographs, official documents or embedded posts, remains the property of its owners and is used under licence, permission or applicable copyright exceptions. Facts themselves are not copyrightable, and we claim no ownership of the news events we report; what we own is our expression of them. If you believe material on this site infringes your rights, the DMCA and Copyright Policy sets out exactly how to tell us and what we will do.
Accuracy, timeliness and reliance
We take accuracy seriously; the Editorial Standards and Fact-Checking Policy pages describe how seriously. But news is a first account of a moving world, and these terms have to say so plainly: content is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. Stories, especially breaking stories, may be revised, corrected or superseded after you read them. Nothing on this site is professional advice. Business and market coverage is not investment advice, health and science coverage is not medical advice, and political or legal coverage is not legal advice. Decisions with real stakes deserve a qualified professional who knows your situation, not a news article, however carefully written. The Disclaimer expands on all of this and is incorporated into these terms.
Third-party links and services
Our journalism links out constantly: to sources, official documents, other outlets and referenced sites. A link is a citation, not an endorsement, and we are not responsible for the content, policies or conduct of sites we link to. Advertising on the site is provided by third-party networks; the advertisers, not MYWORLDNEWS24, are responsible for their products, and a product’s appearance in an ad is not our recommendation. Some links may be affiliate links, disclosed per our Ownership and Funding statement.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the operator of MYWORLDNEWS24 will not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, data or opportunity, arising from your use of or inability to use the site or from reliance on its content. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us to use the site, which, the site being free, will typically be nothing. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence where such exclusions are barred.
Indemnity
If your breach of these terms causes a third party to bring a claim against us, you agree to cover the losses and reasonable costs we incur as a result. This is the standard consequence of, for example, republishing our licensed photographs without permission and getting us both sued.
Changes to the site and to these terms
We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of the site at any time; a free news site cannot promise permanence of features. We may also revise these terms. When we make a material change we will update this page and its date, and the change applies from publication onward, not retroactively. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the revised terms. If you do not, the remedy is simple and free: stop using the site.
Governing law and general provisions
These terms are governed by the laws applicable where the operator is established, and disputes fall to the courts competent under those laws, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protections you enjoy where you live. If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest remain in force. Our failure to enforce a provision on one occasion is not a waiver of it. These terms, together with the Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy and Disclaimer, are the entire agreement between you and us about the site.
