Disclaimer

Why this page exists

A disclaimer on a news site is usually a wall of capital letters nobody reads. This one is written to be understood, because the things it disclaims are things every reader of a 24-hour news site genuinely needs to know. MYWORLDNEWS24 publishes first accounts of a moving world. That has consequences for how far any single article should be trusted at any single moment, and it would be dishonest not to spell them out.

News changes after publication

The defining feature of breaking news is that the facts are still arriving. Early casualty figures are revised. Officials walk back statements. A “confirmed” detail from a normally reliable source turns out to be wrong by morning. We handle this the way serious newsrooms do: we attribute claims to their sources, we label developing stories, and we update and correct as described in our Corrections Policy. But no process changes the underlying fact: an article is accurate as of the time it was written, to the best of our knowledge at that time, and the world keeps moving after we hit publish. If you are reading a breaking story hours or days later, check the timestamp, and treat the newest version of events, wherever it is published, as the operative one.

Nothing here is professional advice

We cover business, markets, health, science, politics and technology because they are news, not because we are qualified to advise you about them. Concretely:

  • Markets and money. Coverage of stocks, currencies, cryptocurrencies, interest rates, companies and economies is journalism, not investment advice or a recommendation to buy, sell or hold anything. Prices move between our writing and your reading. Anyone making financial decisions should consult a licensed adviser and primary market data, not a news story.
  • Health and medicine. Reporting on studies, treatments, outbreaks and public health decisions is not medical advice, and a single study is rarely the last word; that is why we say who published it and in what journal. Never start, stop or change treatment because of something you read here. Ask a qualified clinician who knows your history.
  • Law and politics. Reporting on legislation, regulation, court rulings and government decisions is not legal advice, and rules differ radically between the many jurisdictions our readers live in. What a new visa rule or tax change means for you specifically is a question for a professional in your country.

Opinions, quotes and third parties

When we quote a politician, executive, scientist or witness, we are reporting that they said it, not asserting that what they said is true; where a quoted claim is checkable we try to check it and say what we found. Any clearly labeled opinion or analysis piece represents the view of its author, not an institutional position of MYWORLDNEWS24. Content on sites we link to, and products or services shown in advertising served by our ad partners, are the responsibility of those third parties. A link is a citation, and an advertisement is a payment for space, not our endorsement.

Completeness and availability

We are a small independent team covering the whole world. We choose stories with judgment, but no outlet, and certainly not this one, covers everything that matters. Absence of coverage is not a judgment that an event did not happen or does not matter. Likewise we aim to keep the site available around the clock, but we do not warrant uninterrupted access, and content may be edited, moved or removed as part of normal editorial operation.

Images and documents

Photographs and video in fast-moving stories are verified to the standard described in our Fact-Checking Policy, but imagery from chaotic events carries inherent uncertainty, and we label material we cannot independently confirm. Some images are agency or archive photographs used illustratively; captions say so when the distinction matters. Documents we quote are quoted accurately, but translations, including our own, are offered in good faith rather than as certified renderings.

The legal paragraph

All content on myworldnews24.com is provided in good faith and for general information only. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, MYWORLDNEWS24 and its operators disclaim liability for any loss or damage arising from reliance on information published on this site, from errors or omissions in it, or from its unavailability. Nothing on this page limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited. This disclaimer forms part of our Terms of Service and is governed by the laws applicable where the operator is established.

When something looks wrong

The practical companion to every paragraph above: if you spot an error, a stale figure in a developing story, or a claim that has since been overtaken by events, tell us at support@myworldnews24.com with CORRECTION in the subject line. A disclaimer limits what you can assume; a reader who writes in improves what everyone after them reads.
