Simone Biles Replaced a Recovered Porsche After Chicago Theft
Three masked men stole Simone Biles’ Porsche in Chicago. She got it back, then bought another GTS and a Doberman named Remi.
Simone Biles said three masked men came to her Chicago house and stole her Porsche GTS during the last months she and Jonathan Owens lived there. In a TikTok posted Sept. 21, 2026, the 29-year-old gymnast said the car had been recovered and that she was still going to pick up a new one. She also said the theft was one reason they got a Doberman Pinscher named Remi.
The clip is a makeup video with a joke about a reality show. The sequence under it is colder: a luxury SUV taken at the house, a recovered car she would not keep, a guard dog, and a move already underway from Chicago toward Indianapolis.
Three Masked Men Came to the Chicago House
Biles spoke to camera while getting ready. She did not give a date, a police report number, or a neighborhood. She put the theft in “our last few months in Chicago,” then offered a later story time if people wanted it.
I feel like I need a new car because during our last few months in Chicago, three men in masks came to our house and stole my Porsche. Stole the GTS. But that’s another story. If you guys wanna know, I’ll do a storytime on that. I feel like I need a reality TV show. The things that happen to me are absolutely insanity.

The caption closed the immediate question about the old car: “Yes we recovered the car, onto the next.” Her team and the Chicago Police Department did not comment when asked about the incident. On the public record, the account is still hers alone.
Several recaps turned “came to our house” into a full break-in. She has not said the men entered the living space, only that they came to the house and took the Porsche. That gap is why a story time still hangs over the clip.

Owens, a safety, played the 2024 and 2025 seasons with the Chicago Bears after a two-year deal. They used a Chicago house during those seasons while a custom place in Spring, Texas, outside Houston, was still being finished. Construction started in February 2022 after a design process that began in 2020, and they got the keys on Nov. 11, 2025. They did not settle there together until February 2026, after the Bears year ended. The theft belongs to that Chicago stretch, not to the Texas lakefront house.
Why Simone Biles Still Bought Another Porsche
Getting a stolen car back is the clean ending in a police log. It is often a rotten ending for the person who has to sit in it. A recovered GTS still carries the night three men in masks showed up at the house, and Biles treated that as a reason to shop, not a reason to keep driving the same keys.
She said she wanted a Porsche and then flinched at the prices, so they looked at Audi because she thought one of those cars had the same engine at half the price. The test drive killed it. “I didn’t like the way it drove,” she said. “And I’m not about to manhandle a car.” They went back to Porsche, where a Cayenne GTS was waiting.
On Porsche’s U.S. site, the Cayenne GTS starts at $132,400 before options, taxes, and destination. The gasoline model is listed at 493 hp, 4.4 seconds to 60 mph, and a 171 mph top track speed. When they turned that one on, she said she was sold, quoting Tiffany Haddish in Girls Trip: “Give it to me, I want it. Give it to me.” Then the line that should kill a rumor already bouncing around: “So, we never even made it to Lambo.”
A clip making the rounds still frames the new car as a Lamborghini Urus. That is not what she said she bought. The stolen car was a Porsche GTS. The replacement she described is a Cayenne GTS. Same family, new object, after the old one had already come home.
Remi, the Doberman They Bought for the House
The dog is the purchase that does not show up in a dealership video. Biles said the theft was “one of the reasons why we also got our Doberman.” Later pickup copies named the dog Remi, a Doberman Pinscher they added for protection. A recovered SUV does not bark at the door. Remi does.
That is the second-order bill. The men took a car. The household answer was a new car plus an animal bred to stand between a family and a driveway. She folded it into the reality-show joke, which is how she often talks when the facts are ugly. The joke does not make Remi a prop. It makes the dog the security system they could buy on a timeline they controlled.
WHAT CHANGED AFTER THE THEFT
- The old GTS: Recovered, then set aside as the daily car she wanted to drive.
- The new SUV: A Porsche Cayenne GTS she said she bought after skipping Audi and never reaching Lamborghini.
- The dog: Remi, a Doberman Pinscher they got in part because three masked men had come to the Chicago house.
- The city: Chicago was already the last stop on Owens’ Bears deal; Houston and then Indianapolis came next.
On TikTok, people who have had cars stolen said they would not want the old one back either, calling it a personal violation. Biles answered one shocked comment with a dry “How rude and inconsiderate.” She is funny on camera. She also replaced the car.
A 24,299-Theft Metro and a Porsche in the Driveway
A Cayenne GTS in a Chicago driveway sits in a city where auto theft is no longer the 2023 panic and is still not rare. The National Insurance Crime Bureau counted 659,880 vehicles stolen in the United States in 2025, down 23% from 2024, and still logged 24,299 thefts in the Chicago metro, third among U.S. metros behind Los Angeles and New York. Illinois finished third among states with 28,327 thefts.
WHERE CARS WERE STOLEN IN 2025
| Place | 2025 thefts | Standing |
|---|---|---|
| United States | 659,880 | Down 23% from 2024 |
| Illinois | 28,327 | 3rd among states |
| Chicago-Naperville-Elgin | 24,299 | 3rd among metros |
| Illinois Jeep Grand Cherokee | 1,047 | 2nd most stolen model in the state |
Volume crime in Illinois still looks like Hyundais and Jeeps. The Hyundai Elantra led the state at 1,125 thefts in 2025. A Porsche GTS is a different job. Chicago Police Commander Andrew Costello, who has handled auto-theft cases, has said high-end cars were being targeted as overall numbers fell, with Dodges and Jeeps in the mix. Chicago’s monthly auto theft logs keep running even when the national headline is a historic drop.
NICB President and CEO David J. Glawe credited police, makers, and insurers for the national decline. That trend does not move a masked crew off a known athlete’s house. It just means the stolen GTS was not the typical Chicago take.
Athlete Houses Have Been a Known Mark
Owens is an NFL player. Biles is one of the most watched athletes on earth, with 11 Olympic medals and 30 world medals, including seven Olympic golds. Their Chicago address was never anonymous, and the league had already told players that houses like theirs were being hunted.
In November 2024, the NFL sent teams and the players’ union a security memo after a cluster of burglaries. It said homes of professional athletes across sports had become “increasingly targeted for burglaries by organized and skilled groups,” often on game days, after surveillance that can include fake deliveries and people posing as joggers or grounds crews. Players were told to stop posting check-ins and expensive goods until the day was over.
ATHLETE HOMES HIT ON GAME WEEKS
- October 6, 2024: A burglary is reported at Patrick Mahomes’ home in Belton, Missouri, around midnight.
- October 7, 2024: Travis Kelce’s Leawood, Kansas, home is hit the same day the Chiefs play, with $20,000 in cash taken per local police papers.
- December 2024: Joe Burrow’s Anderson Township, Ohio, home is targeted while the Bengals are on the road.
- November 16, 2025: Four men enter Cleveland Browns quarterback Shedeur Sanders’ Granger Township home through an unlocked door while he is at a game, with about $200,000 in goods taken, per the Medina County Sheriff’s Office.
Biles did not say the Chicago crew was that circuit. She also did not have to. Three men in masks at an NFL house, during a season when those houses were already a known product, fits the pattern the league warned about even if this file never gets a public arrest.
Indianapolis Is the Next Address
Owens signed a one-year deal with the Indianapolis Colts on March 18, 2026, his fifth NFL stop after the Cardinals, Texans, Packers, and Bears. Biles said in early September she had been in Houston most of the time and would “officially move” to the Indianapolis area a little later. “The stadium is stunning,” she said. “It doesn’t matter, as long as he’s safe and healthy and he’s having fun, then I don’t care.”
Safe is doing real work in that sentence. The Chicago house had already seen three masked men and a missing GTS. Remi is part of the kit they can take to Indiana. So is a new Cayenne GTS that was never sitting in that Chicago driveway.
She still owes the story time she offered. Chicago police have not put a report beside her TikTok. Until they do, the facts that will not move are the ones she put on camera: the car came back, she bought another anyway, and the dog’s name is Remi.
